Welcome! MDCon.Live is primarily a hub for sharing information about MDCon events. Secondarily, it supports the MD Community Online and aims to be platform-independent. A third goal is to help coordinate local meetups.
With these purposes in mind, here are some guiding principles:
- MDCon is not an online entertainment platform. While we may add a Social Media Manager in the future to help with online engagement, our main goal is to provide useful information that encourages you to attend events in person.
- We aim to create a platform-independent space where MiniDisc (MD) enthusiasts from all backgrounds and online communities can connect. Plans are underway for Forums or BBS.
- Facilitating local events in a platform-independent way is a major task that we're still developing. Your patience and feedback are appreciated.
Using MDCon.Live Today
Here’s how to get started and make the most of the current features:
- Create a username that doesn’t reveal your real identity. This helps reduce the risk of doxxing. Remember, if you choose to attend an event and reveal your real name, you're voluntarily giving up some privacy.
- Use the provided links to stay updated on MDCon and its events, especially through the platforms you already use.
- Check out community reviews and participate in Disc Swaps — a fun way to engage with other MD fans.
- Join the conversation in the comments section — currently the only way to interact on the site.
About the Comments Section
There are no formal rules in place for the comments section, and I plan to keep it that way. Your opinions are welcome, as long as they’re shared respectfully and not intended to provoke or harm others.
Trolling — which I consider a destructive and disruptive behavior — will be addressed at my discretion, whether I spot it myself or it’s brought to my attention.
As this page does not have a comments section, please use the email link to the left of the "Contact" link beneath for feedback. Thank you!
