MDCon is excited to share an update about its approach to sustaining the show. Previously, MDCon implemented a revenue generation model to help offset the personal financial losses incurred by its founder, Gunner5, which now exceeds $15,000.
From its inception, MDCon has never aimed to generate profit. Its primary goal is to break even, ensuring that the show can be passed on to another individual or entity in 2027 in a stable financial state.
To better align with this mission, MDCon will discontinue all online sales as a revenue model. Instead, it will now rely on donations to support its operations. These donations will help cover MDCon’s expenses and further its mission. Donors will have two options:
- Regular donations with no associated benefits.
- Donations with premiums where the donor receives a gift or perk.
The decision to receive a premium will rest entirely with the donor. While premiums may vary in perceived value, MDCon’s focus remains on garnering support rather than offering monetary value in return.
MDCon plans to introduce both one-time donation options and monthly supporter programs. Each donation tier will include different premiums tailored to the type and level of contribution.
It’s important to emphasize that MDCon is not seeking charity but rather backing for its stated mission:
